About

Names Matt, I work as a software developer in a pretty large Microsoft software house in Wellington, New Zealand. Work mainly covers be-spoke .net2 web apps using ASP, C#, but also some product work such as Episerver and MCMS.

Outside of work, I enjoy drinking (yep, being a alcoholic is nothing to be ashamed about!), Electronics and movies. More recently, I have gotten into Settlers of catan, a board game that was introduced to me by a work mate and in which many of my friends describe as a monopoly clone (though they say its heaps better!!!).

Hi, I followed the instructions on replacing the capacitors, I put it all back together, but the screen is coming up white – no display… It was just turning itself off previously, so I am half way there, Just wondered if you had any ideas as to why the display is just white?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I read your guide about repairing Dell E173FPC lcd. I have the same problem, it is not working, BUT I cannot fix the power supply/inventer, because I cant find right parts in Finland. So, I have already PC power supply for it, but I dont know right voltages for controller board (probably 12V, 5V and ground). So do you can tell me which pins take 12V, 5V and ground? Hope you understand ;-).

    P.S http://koti.mbnet.fi/l4uri/DSCN3600.JPG <<<— I mean those pins.
